Fishing Report & About Us

Dorado (Mahi Mahi) fishing has slowed considerably however there is still some success and within 5 miles off shore. Bonita are plentiful and are being caught trolling with lures and especially jigging from the bottom up. Similar success with Skip Jack however they are not as good for cooking as the white Bonita (delicious ceviche, sashimi and grilled). Close to the shore we are seeing great results for Sierra! Ballyhoo is proving to be the best bait. The fish have sharp teeth and put up a good fight so it’s a bit challenging then great fun to get them in the boat. One of the best to eat for sure. Some success with bottom fishing for the strange looking Trigger fish along the Pacific side close to the rocky shores.
